2/8/12 Update

 

We have a great field trip for our group planned for the 19th of Feb.   The H2H kids were going on an Extreme trampoline trip.   And I was able to envite our group to join them.  I hope everyone is able to come and enjoy.   We will meet at church by 5 p.m.   I am not for sure what time we will be leaving the church but we will have a group gathering before anyway.   I hope to see everyone there.

 

 

1/4/12 Update

 

We have booked Friday Feb 3rd for the bowling party. It will include 3 games and shoes for up to 50 People. It’s at the Lakeside Lanes on 45. Asking for a suggested donation of 10 dollars so please invite as many people as you can.

12/28/2011 Update:

Hello Workcampers,

 

The next Work camp meeting on January,15th 11:45 a.m.

 

Discussions on fund raisers for spring, start paper work for camp, and fun activities for trip. Come prepared with ideas. Lunch will be served. Bring your calendars.

Things to be discussed at meeting:

  • Future Fundraisers- silent auction, spaghetti dinner, bowling and (for Bob) possible car wash. Maybe those of you who live outside of Mundelein could do some research on some of the businesses around you that are privately owned.   They seem to be able to donate with out having to talk to corporate headquarters.

 

  • Totals from previous fund raisers,budget.
  • Schedule for work camp and extra activities.  (Need to bring ideas for those)
  • Paper work.   I would like to have it done as soon as possible so Julie doesn’t have to shuffle to get her part finished. We need medical insurance info for everyone, and drivers, we will need a copy of your license and car insurance.  I need all youth to bring a parent.I will set up all of the paper work like we did last year.

This will be the last big meeting before the spaghetti dinner so bring all thoughts and ideas with you.      If you would like to add something new please feel free to do so.

I will serve lunch.   It may be a long meeting.   We may have a couple of small meeting after the spaghetti to finalize things.

*Just as a reminder:   If you don’t participate in fund raising in some form you might not be able to go to work camp.   Please come to this meeting to guarantee your eligibility.

The God Squad gang would like to thank  everyone who worked on- and those who came to see- the Annual St. Andrew production of   The Christmas Carol.

It was a lot of work, but it was fun. Thank you John and Wendi for allowing us to help. I know I have come to respect people more who do this activity. It is very emotional, personal, demanding of time and self. Let’s hope we do this again next year.

 

We are finished with projects until the end of Jan. or the beginning of Feb. We have the bowl-a-thon then and then on to the silent auction and spaghetti dinner. If I don’t see all of you before Christmas I hope everyone has a safe and happy season.
